cat in creole is chat, pronounced shat.

July 11, 2010

Today has been filled with many things. let me make a list.

– Sang a “special” in church this morning and the sound system blew up after the first chorus
– guest chaplain at church told us all if we gave $3 we would be      blessed, then gave a questionable message
– we ate tortilla chips and nutty bars for lunch
– took the hottest nap of my life with abby and tex
– the electricity came on at 4:30 instead of 6

So as Amanda, abby, and i are sitting and enjoying the fans in our room abby is singing/writing a song about a secret cat (chat [shat]) who lives upstairs with us… she has seen it in the night time and also we have found it’s paw prints on our stuff.

the greatest thing today besides the early fannage on the hottest day ever maybe, is that also in church this morning a girl passed out and was taken up to the clinic, unconscious. She had a head injury from the quake that made her blind in one eye, when she woke up in the clinic she couldn’t see out of either eye… which i guess meant she had bleeding on the brain. i don’t know all the details, but there is only one neurosurgeon in Haiti right now and basically if they didn’t get him here in the next 3 days her chances weren’t looking swell, but as she was talking to one of the doctors here her vision came back in both eyes! Praise God!! Hopefully she is fully healed, they will find out if she can get a CAT scan. A great way to end a good weekend. Over and out.
